Chocolate mousse: a rich, easy-to-make dessert that everyone loves. This classic recipe makes any get-together feel a little more sophisticated - certainly a dish worth mastering.
We’re taking this tried-and-true dessert to the next level with some Brielle CBD oil. Combine the mood-elevating effects of chocolate with the therapeutic effects of CBD for the perfect chocolate mousse that you can share with your friends and family or enjoy on your own at home. Here’s how:
2 large eggs
¼ cup of sugar
2 cups of heavy whipping cream, separated
1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 droppers of Brielle CBD oil
In a large bowl, beat 2 eggs and ¼ cup of sugar for 3-4 minutes until mixture becomes fluffy and has a thick consistency.
Heat 1 cup of cream in a saucepan until it reaches approximately 130 degrees Fahrenheit.
Keep your hand beater on low and begin to slowly pour cream into the egg mixture.
Pour mixture back into the pot and keep on low heat.
Stir mixture continuously for approximately 5-7 minutes to thicken. Check temperature with a thermometer to ensure your mixture does not exceed 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Continue mixing to create a smooth mixture.
Refrigerate mixture for approximately 4 hours or until thickened.
Remove from refrigerator and pour mixture into bowl. Beat in 1 cup of cream until soft peaks form. Fold cream into mousse until completely combined. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
When ready to serve, stire in 2 droppers of Brielle CBD oil. Garnish with berries and a mint leaf.
As a reminder, make sure your liquid never reaches a temperature above 240 degrees Fahrenheit as high temperatures will inactivate many important properties of the CBD oil.
