You’re probably wondering this after reading our previous blog post covering some introductory information about CBD. Most of us remember learning about the respiratory, digestive and cardiovascular systems at a young age and can probably offer basic explanations for how they work. However, recent studies have uncovered another regulatory system that balances a variety of physiological processes: the endocannabinoid system.
Endocannabinoid molecules are naturally produced in the human body and play a crucial role in the processes that keep our bodies balanced and healthy. So what role does CBD play in all of this? CBD is a phytocannabinoid which reacts with our cannabinoid receptors to help drive the central regulatory system. Put simply, the human body needs endocannabinoids the same way it needs essential vitamins and minerals to function and remain healthy. CBD can help rebalance a dysregulated endocannabinoid system, providing symptom relief and further health benefits relevant to the system.
