Seven-Step CBD Smoothie Bowl

Why drink your smoothie from a cup when you can use a spoon to eat it from a bowl? Smoothie bowls are a quick and easy meal that you can load up with all kinds of nutritious ingredients, including your favorite CBD oil! Follow these seven steps to make your own healthy CBD-infused smoothie bowl.


Step #1 - Choose Your Fruit


What makes smoothie bowls easy to make is that you can add just about any fruit you want! Bananas, strawberries, raspberries, mangos… you name it! Depending on your desired consistency, your combination of fruit should add up to about 1 ½ - 3 cups for a single serving. 


Unlike regular smoothies that you’d pour in a cup, smoothie bowls should be on the thicker side. You’ll want to blend frozen fruits together with your other ingredients, but you can also add fresh fruits as a garnish for that perfect Instagram shot ;).

Step #2 - Choose Your Protein


You can add a serving of your favorite protein powder or even a dollop of peanut butter. Protein will help your smoothie bowl reach a thick enough consistency to eat with a spoon and provide you with a nutritious meal to jump-start your day!


Step #3 - Choose Your Liquid


Adding liquid makes it easier to blend your ingredients together evenly. You’ll need about ½ - 1 ½ cups of liquid depending on how well your blender works. If your blender is a bit on the older side, you may need to add more liquid to your ingredients. Keep it simple by adding a little bit of water, or you can spice it up with a serving of almond or coconut milk. Whatever you choose, start out with a low amount and add more liquid as needed so your smoothie bowl doesn’t turn out runny.


Step #4 - Add Your CBD Oil


Before you blend your ingredients together, add a few drops of CBD oil to keep you feeling balanced and relaxed throughout the day. Add as much CBD as you need to achieve your dosage amount. To learn more about figuring out your ideal dose, check out our previous blog post here


Step #5 - Extras!


Add in some avocado or kale for an even more delicious and nutritious smoothie bowl. Or, throw in some chia seeds for texture and additional thickness.


Step #6 - Blend


Combine your ingredients and blend until your smoothie bowl has reached your desired consistency. If your smoothie bowl is too thin, add a bit of ice or fruit. If your smoothie bowl is too thick, add some more liquid. 


Step #7 - Add Toppings


For some extra aesthetic, sprinkle some nuts, coconut flakes, fresh fruit slices, or any other topping you can think of to your smoothie bowl.
